Anna Gunn
Anna Gunn was born in the United States. Her most well-known role is her character Skyler White on Breaking Bad, an AMC drama series Breaking Bad for which she received the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting actor in an Drama Series in 2013 and 2014. As well as playing Martha Bullock and Jean Ward She has also appeared on The Practice. Anna Gunn, born 1968 in Sante Fe New Mexico fell in love with acting in Preparatory before her Family moved to Ohio. She attended Northwestern University to study theatre and was also a student at the British American Drama Academy. Anna spent a few seasons working in Chicago theater before transitioning to TV and film roles. In 1992, Anna landed her first big part as Arden in the series of 29 episodes Down the Shore. Anna continued to appear in movies and television shows like Seinfeld, NYPD Blue and others up to the late the 1990's. Then she was selected for The Practice as Jean Ward. Martha Bullock, a character which she played for two years during Deadwood's 2nd season. Skyler is her Breaking Bad role from 2008. Sully was another of her roles. Gunn has also appeared on the stage starring in the David Schwimmer directed production Sex With Strangers. She was also a part of the podcast audio drama of four episodes Numbered days, which was launched in 2022. The romance with Walter White and his wife Skyler is the most prominent element of the plot in Breaking Bad with the strained pull on their relationship and the eventual end of their relationship mirroring the same arc of Walter White's last years of life.
